Dinner at Old Town

We still had enough energy to have dinner at Old Town.

Old town is a restaurant that has Filipinos as service crews. So when Paul invited us to dinner, we said that it would be best if we can go and see this place.

This is Tanya placing the order:

The most beautiful people on earth (that's me hahahha)

We also loved this resto, especially their food which is reasonably priced.

And of course, we also talked to our kababayans but they were so shy that I was not able to take pictures of them. Too bad. But the food, it’s delicious!

Day 8: More Shopping!

Tanya originally planned that we see Genting Island on this day. But when we went to the bus station, the next available trip was at 2pm so we decided to just go and see some other place.

We went to another shopping mall which sells all tech-y stuff. There’s a lot of cell phones, mp3s etc, cameras and laptops.

We then scored another good meal, the Big Apple donuts.

Yummy!

That’s me after the meal. Bloated to the max!

Then we went straight to their Divisoria! It’s like Tutuban mall wherein most of the stalls are owned by Chinese merchants.

After 2 hours of shopping, we went back to Tanya’s pad. We decided to go home early that day to prepare for our trip back to the Philippines which was scheduled so early in the morning.

Day 9: The Trip Back Home

The funny thing about transportation in Malaysia is that, taxi drivers are paid night differentials from 12 midnight to 6am.

Since our flight was scheduled at 7, we needed to be at the airport by 5. That means calling a cab and paying the driver 100% more than the usual! The usual trip will cost anybody 30 ringgit but we paid 60 from Tanya’s place to the airport.

When we reached the airport, I knew that something was wrong. Still we went inside and looked at which platform we needed to fall in line. But out flight was nowhere in their list!

That was the time that I approached a lady in the information desk. I showed her our ticket and asked if we were at the right place. We were lost!

And the thing was, we already did not have any ringits in our pockets!

I could strangle that driver’s neck!

We immediately went to Forex and exchange some dollars to ringgit. So from that airport to another airport, it caused us an additional 50 ringgit!

Back to Reality

At 11:30am, it’s back to reality again.

It was a dream touring Malaysia and Singapore. It was a dream going places with two of my most treasured friends.

For few days, I was able to not think of my problems and just enjoy life. But at 11:30am on April 5, reality set in, that I need to find a decent job. I have been jobless for 3 and a half months now and it sure is the perfect time for me to go put my fats into a good use. (lol)

I know from the bottom of my heart, it’s not going to be the last. I wanted to travel and I want to do it together with my family and friends. So for now, can somebody give me a decent job so that I can finance this dream of mine? hahaha

To Verna, thanks for being a wonderful companion.

And to Tanya, our thanks for making this trip possible.

Be Patient

For those who have been waiting for my entry for the trip we made few weeks back, be more patient. I am making it real special that is why it's taking this long.

Few more days and it will be finished. For now, enjoy this picture heheheh.

Susan Boyle in Britains Got Talent

After watching E! this week, I immediately logged in to the internet and checked the performance of Susan Boyle, one of the most talked about contestant in Britains Got Talent. And surely, it was touching. I finished watching it with teary eyes.

Surely, nobody should judge the book by it's cover. When she entered the stage, most of the audience (if not all) were cynical. But the moment the finished the first line of the song, everybody were standing in awe!

She was amazing!

Here's the link from youtube. Enjoy watching it.

Congratulations, Allen!

Since my niece's Recognition day fell on the date that I was not around, I took the liberty to work on my camera days before the said event.

Here are my shots:

We (at that moment) did not have any ideas as to what awards she will receive but I was sure that everybody in the house were pretty excited.

We impatiently wait for the date and the wait was worth it!

During the event, she was given Best in Reading, Most Attentive and of course Gold Medal!

(that's Daddy Arnold, Mommy Christma, proud grandma Gilda and beautiful Allen)

Congratulations baby!
